Association for Mormon Letters Events Calendar

The Association for Mormon Letters sponsors several annual events, such as the Writers Conference and Annual Meeting. We occasionally offer special events and lecture series.

In addition to AML-sponsored events, we also list significant events of interest to the Mormon literature community. If you have an event that you would like to have listed on the AML Calendar, please write to the AML.

2012 Annual Meeting

April 21, 2012

The Association for Mormon Letters will hold its annual conference on April 21st at Utah Valley University. The theme of the conference is: “Going Forth Into All the World: Mormon Literature in an International Church.” Keynote speaker will be Elder John H. Groberg, Emeritus Seventy of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, whose LDS mission was the subject of the film The Other Side of Heaven. Panelists will talk about various authors and LDS film and literature throughout the world.

The AML annual meeting is free to the public, though subscriptions to its literary magazine, Irreantum, are available, as are memberships.

Registration starts at 8:00 a. m.

There will be a luncheon at 1:00 p.m., during which the 2011 AML awards for writing in various genres will be announced. Seating for the luncheon is limited, so tickets should be ordered ahead of time.
